At Vital Habits we have a team of amazing trainers built on the core philosophy to hire down to earth, committed people experienced in working with a diverse range of clients. It's personal training by name but it is quite personal by nature. We really believe that you need to feel comfortable in our training environment and of course with your trainer.
Whilst we are definitely all about YOU and the results we can get for YOU, here's just a little bit about them so that you can get to know them better.
Our trainers really are as diverse as our clients - feel free to e-meet them...
Simon - Studio Manager
Simon is our studio manager and has been not only racking up great results with our clients but guiding the team since he joined us in February 2012. Simon has over 15 years experience in the fitness industry both in his home land New Zealand and here in Australia. There’s not much he hasn’t done in this rewarding industry. On top of that Simon is a super runner, having represented Auckland in cross country and road running. Even the recent addition of his young son to the family doesn’t seem to have slowed him down too much yet…
I enjoy training all levels of clients and get as much enjoyment from training a person new to exercise as from training an athlete. I like to get to the bottom of what each client’s goals are and what they like and dislike about training and then build our sessions from there.
Pretty serious about running with an ultra marathon coming up in early 2015.
Red wine and the occasional port or muscat.
Endurance Training, boxing, corrective exercise, pre/post season training, rehabilitation, sports-specific programs, Pilates, strength and conditioning are all on quite a long list.

Mitch started in the fitness industry by jumping into a Bachelor’s of Exercise Science degree. From there, his interest in the industry has just built and built, deciding to do a personal training course whilst at uni so he could start working in the industry as soon as possible. He has since worked around various gyms, football clubs and private training studios, coaching all different levels of clientele. He has enjoyed every minute of the experiences and hopes to make many more going onwards.
Exercise should be challenging, on both the body and mind. Whilst getting the best out of your body through exercise, you should be getting taught the what and why of the movements you’re performing as well to best enhance yourself.
Mitch loves sport, playing football and volleyball in his junior years. He now enjoys playing around in the gym, trying out new and up to date techniques to better himself physically and to pass down to his clients.
